Cascada – Everytime we touch
•April 7, 2007 • Leave a CommentI ‘ve begun to like this song. It gives out the longing, the love, and the feelings amazingly.
I still hear your voice when you sleep next to me
I still feel your touch in my dreams
Forgive me my weakness, but I don’t know why
Without you it’s hard to survive
‘Cause everytime we touch I get this feeling
And everytime we kiss I swear I could fly
Can’t you feel my heart beat fast, I want this to last
Need you by my side
‘Cause everytime we touch I feel this static
And everytime we kiss I reach for the sky
Can’t you hear my heart beat so, I can’t let you go
Want you in my life
Your arms are my castle, your heart is my sky
They wipe away tears that I cry
The good and the bad times, we’ve been through them all
You make me rise when I fall
‘Cause everytime we touch I get this feeling
And everytime we kiss I swear I could fly
Can’t you feel my heart beat fast, I want this to last
Need you by my side
‘Cause everytime we touch I feel this static
And everytime we kiss I reach for the sky
Can’t you hear my heart beat so, I can’t let you go
Want you in my life
‘Cause everytime we touch I get this feeling
And everytime we kiss I swear I could fly
Can’t you feel my heart beat fast, I want this to last
Need you by my side
‘Cause everytime we touch I feel this static
And everytime we kiss I reach for the sky
Can’t you hear my heart beat so, I can’t let you go
Want you in my life
I want it that way

It was a lovely December morning in the hottest city in the world. All right, so that was a little unfair. Chennai is not the hottest city in the world. But it certainly is the city with the most uncomfortable
weather among the cities that I have lived in. And I’ve been around. But I digress.I was in the company bus on my way to work, as usual trying to catch up with my sleep. On this particular day, a girl got on the bus, came to my seat and sat down. “Good Morning,” she said. I looked back at her through half closed eyes, replied “Good Night,” and then proceeded to return to my half hour nap before the bus reached the office.Unfortunately, I was woken up by a punch in the arm.”Wake up, bozo!” She was looking at me with a big smile on her face. “I’m not sitting next to you to listen to you snore.”
Half-heartedly, I opened my eyes and turned to her. “What’s up?” I
asked.
Preeti Mehra was tall, good-looking and slightly tomboyish. She was also my best buddy. “Come on,” she said. “Don’t look so disappointed. You’d rather sleep than talk to me?”
“I talk to you everyday, Preeti.” “You also sleep everyday.”
“It’s not enough.” “So you’ve had enough of talking to me, eh?”
You can’t argue with a statement like that, so I had to give up. I
grinned and said, “OK, sweetheart. What’s on your mind?”
“I wanted to tell you what happened yesterday. Can you guess?”
“Anurag called you last night.” “How did you know?” She was stunned. “Oh, he asked me for your number yesterday.” “And you gave it to him?” “What else could I do? And stop complaining. You’ve been drooling over him for weeks now. He must have thought he had a chance.” Preeti was the kind of girl who would openly ogle at every other guy she saw. And yet, she would not respond to any advances of a romantic nature. She’d happily join a group of boys to go to a cricket match, but if asked out to a movie, dinner, or even coffee, she’d never say yes. She defined ‘Hard-To-Get’.

Will you marry me?
•February 18, 2007 • Leave a CommentWhen I saw your name next to mine,
In our wedding card,
I felt blessed.
When I saw you smile,
Seeing me in traditional bride groom dress,
I felt teased.
When I held your hand,
During the marriage rituals,
I felt responsible.
When you entered my lonely bachelor life,
And changed it into a heavenly abode,
I felt lucky.
When you showed the same love as I did,
Towa rds my parents,
I felt proud.
When you scolded me,
For neglecting my health amidst my hectic work,
I felt pampered.
When I saw you scream,
Crying out of labor pains,
I felt helpless.
When I saw tears of happiness in your eyes,
As you looked at our kid,
I felt blessed once again.
All these feelings have bloomed in my heart,
But are yet to blossom in reality.
As these are feelings I long to feel,
For these are still unfelt.
WILL YOU MARRY ME??
A cute love letter
•February 18, 2007 • Leave a CommentSweet SweetHeart,
Good things, they say, always happen to those who are patient. I know that I have a crush on you. And when I want something as bad as I want you, I think it’s time to chuck patience out of the window and ask you: Will you be mine?
I’ve always dreamt of having a relationship that’s lifelong with someone as amazing as you. I’ve always hunted for the perfect person all over my world. Now that I have found you, I know that my search has come to an end.
What do I like most about you? I like your eyes. I imagine you in a Saree and think that you’d look wonderful. But most of all, I love the beautiful person that you are. And I want to spoil you silly for the rest of your life – maybe I should start with flowers.
I could tell you how much I love you and court you till you assent. But when I see you, I feel like how Romeo must have felt when he saw Juliet. And I end up talking to you about everything else.
So, tell me: “Will you be mine?”
With love, hugs & kisses
Love and suffering
•February 18, 2007 • Leave a Comment“ I’d learned more about her in that exhausted, murmuring hour than in all the many months before it. Lovers find their way by such insights and confidences: they ‘re the stars that we use to navigate the ocean of desire. And the brightest of those stars are the heartbreaks and sorrows. The most precious gift you can bring to your lover is your suffering. So, I took each sadness that she confessed to me, and pinned it to the sky. ”
